Note: The Counseling for All India Category vacant seats i.e. 950 approximately will be held only . The candidates are advised to participate upto the Rank of 8650 only. The counseling will be closed as and when the vacant seats are filled.

1. Manual counseling will be held for the vacant seats of Education Colleges in the State of Haryana as per Reservation Policy of the State Govt. in Senior Teachers Common Room in Indira Gandhi Vidya Bhawan, Gate No. 7 in the Campus of M.D. University, Rohtak.

2. The candidates should bring all original documents (alongwith one set of attested copies) mentioned in the Prospectus.

3. Each admitted candidate shall deposit Rs.5000/- Cash with the University Cashier and remaining fee of Ist installment + University Charges shall be deposited with the College where the candidate is admitted. Rs. 5000/- taken as token money is non refundable if the candidate does not deposit the balance fee in the College within three working days.

4. The candidates are advised to deposit a photo copy of their Marksheet upto 9.9.2009 in the University if they have not mentioned their result in OMR already submitted in the University upto 15.7.2009 provided their results have already been declared before 15.7.2009.

5. The candidates already admitted through online counseling will not be entertained to participate in the manual counseling nor the shifting or change of college will be allowed.

6. The candidates are advised to download their merit No. from the website- www.mdurohtak.com .

SERVICE TAX ON RAILWAY FREIGHT-EXCEPTIONS

Service tax has been imposed on service provided to any person in relation to
transport of goods, by rail in Finance Act(2) 2009.A new sub-clause (zzzp) of clause (105) of section 65 of the Finance Act,has been inserted in service tax act.The tax on this service is applicable from 01.09.2009.However at the time of introduction of this new service ,The Finance Minister has assured that a negative list of goods will be issued on which service tax on freight will be exempted.Now department has issued the negative list which is reproduced here under for your ready reference.

Notification No. 28/2009 - Service Tax
G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 93 of the Finance Act, 1994 (32 of 1994), (hereinafter referred to as the Finance Act), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts the taxable service provided to any person in relation to transport of goods, the description of which is specified in column (2) of the Table, by rail as referred to in sub-clause (zzzp) of clause (105) of section 65 of the Finance Act, from the whole of the service tax leviable thereon under section 66 of the Finance Act.
2. This notification shall come into force on the first day of September, 2009.
